Can you actually make cheese backwards?

The key to a great riddle is misdirection. In this case, the question leads to you think about the production process of cheese. Is it a cheese that is matured before it is made? But that wouldn’t make any sense right?

Actually, the answer is much simpler than that. Essentially, the riddle is asking you to determine the name of the cheese which results from reversing the word “made”.

And the answer is…

Of course, “made” backwards spells out “Edam”. So, the answer to what type of cheese is made backwards is simply the famous Dutch hard cheese, EDAM.
